The Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) successfully launched the IRNSS-1I navigation satellite aboard the PSLV-C41.
The rocket was launched from First Launch Pad (FLP) of SDSC SHAR, Sriharikota.
IRNSS-1L is expected to replace IRNSS-1A, the first of the seven navigation satellites, which was rendered ineffective after its three rubidium atomic clocks failed. The seven satellites are part of the NavIC navigation satellite constellation.
