With a mission to build a New India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the 'Run for New India' marathon in Surat, Gujarat. People across all-ages enthusiastically participated in the marathon.
The 'Run for New India marathon was flagged off from the Lalbhai Contractor Stadium of the city.
The Marathon is aimed at "creating awareness about social causes and call upon all to resolve to build a New India".
Remembering Sardar Patel, Prime Minister Modi appealed to the youths to participate in Run for Unity on 31st October.
Around 1.50 lakh runners participated in the 'Run for New India' marathon which was organized by the Surat Nagrik Samiti. Chief Minister of Gujarat, Vijay Rupani, Member of Parliament C.R Patil and many other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
